    It is good that DL is beginning to operate, if only once per week. AA has been doing very well for a long time. US people with family now have such freedom to go, and merchants too, that these flights will surely be profitable. As many of us know they all must operate as "charters" even though they otherwise behave quite like normal FAR 121 scheduled flights.

    AFAIK these flights would earn no FF miles and might not recognize DL or SkyTeam FF status for various perks. Do not assume that policies like free checked bags, etc. apply. I also suspect that the "charter" flights must be on separate tickets, which tend to make connections more expensive and well as requiring more time in case delays occur.
