Delta seeks to add Detroit-Beijing flights

    Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE: DAL) is seeking approval to increase its Detroit-Beijing service to daily from five days a week as the airline’s traffic to Asia continues to rise, reports the Detroit Free Press.

    The additional nonstop flights would begin about Oct. 28 with 269-seat Boeing Co. 777 aircraft, Delta said in an Aug. 21 filing to the U.S. Transportation Department, the newspaper reported.
