Delta plane catches fire at ATL

    Fox says the plane (MD-88) made a hard landing; their story suggests that their might have been a fire in the rear of the aircraft before the landing. They also say that no slides were used, which I suspect is wrong; I think slides were used on the side of the plane that we can't see in the pictures and video. There were 44 passengers and 5 crew on board; three or four injuries requiring first air treatment only are reported.

    Looks like they opened the aft door without disarming it. the tailcone comes off if that is done. Other sites and the photos make it seem that the only fire was of the tires, nothing else.
