    [article]

An Australian actress got a little bit of handwritten love on her recent Delta flight. Claire Holt tweeted a photo of the note Tuesday with the caption "Wow. Received this note from Captain Kendall on my flight today. Truly thoughtful. Treat him well @DeltaAssist! "

Holt is best known for her television work in "The Originals," "The Vampire Diaries" and "Pretty Little Liars."

It reads:"Ms. Holt, Thank you for all your business as a Diamond Sky Miler. I appreciate how hard it is to be a Road Warrior, especially at this time of year, but I appreciate it."

The note, Delta Air Lines confirmed to ABC news, was penned by Captain Mark Kendall, an Atlanta-based pilot who's been with the airline for 25 years.

But Kendall's no celebrity stalker. In fact, he had no idea who Claire Holt was, only that she was a serious frequent flier.

I have a note like that, signed by the entire crew on a TATL flight. All they knew was that I'm a loyal DL flyer and I always treat the crews with appreciation and respect.

A nice personal touch like that goes a long way.

What, no "demand compensation" comments from those on the same flight who didn't receive a similar note? ;)

Well done by the Capt. I have seen other DL crew make a similar note of thanks to DM's on the flight. I was one one flight (I forget which one) where the Cpt. personally thanked each DM member.

The entire TOBB DL forum isn't too bad when compared to their UA brethren.

No. They're worse - they're censorious apologists. Of course, maintaining the fiction of meaningful discourse on the DL board there requires suppression of dissent and maintenance of censorship, as well as apologism. Not here.

The UA forum on FT is self-censoring, as UA can do no wrong for the most vocal members. It's kind of like bubbashow on steroids.

Kicking 41 folks off a flight to Hawaii and blaming it on weather instead of the mechanical issue is entirely acceptable for most of that forum. And a 90 year old does not deserve any special treatment or handling by said airline. In fact, said airline did the 90 year old veteran a favor by rebooking him onto a later AA flight at no extra charge. Now, that's service!

I love the part where the UA Apologists ignore the fact that United upgraded the 90 year old passenger for his return flight as a customer service courtesy for what happened at LAX.
