104 total complaints; they had the most total.
On a percentage basis, complaints per 100,000 emplanements, they were ranked #15 out of 18, ahead of Jet Blue, CO and UA. If you combine the numbers for CO and UA, those have a total of 115, which would move them ahead of DL as the "most complained about".

Looks like another area where DL has it's work cut out for if it wants to remain Best in Class- UA/CO is ahead of them in complaints[IMG]

I must be lucky, being one of the other 99998 people.

It's really strange - The less I fly, the fewer complaints I seem to have. There's some kind of correlation there that just eludes my mental grasp.

Maybe, this is why all or most of all Delta employees were send to Charm School few weeks ago. [IMG]

Considering that gate agents & baggage agents are probably the two groups that could do the most to avert complaints, sending the GA's to charm school probably is a step in the right direction.

When I started flying Delta in a major way (early 2000's) the company was in a tailspin but the people were great. Grinstein was really working to leverage on that post bankruptcy -- if only they could get back on track.

It's interesting (and not a good sign) that complaints jumped from 1327 in 2009 to 2228 in 2010.

Though I think somebody's math is bad anyway: "2,228, or two complaints per 100,000 enplanements. It also had a dead last finish in 2009, with 1,327 complaints, or 1.96 per 100,000 enplanements."

If 2,228 is two complaints per 100,000 enplanements in 2010 and 1,327 is 1.9 complaints per 100,000 enplanements, then the number of enplanements jumped enormously from 2009 to 2010. Or somebody's math is bad. I'll go with the math is bad explanation.

I believe DL & NW were still reported separately in 2009, so that's not as great a leap as it seems.

NW, however, did get better scores than DL while they were separate. :)
