Will they turn off the phones or just put them in flight mode before reaching 10000 feet?
From the sound of it they will be used in flight as well?: "Near real-time credit card processing for on-board purchases"
Guess they'll be sucking up the WiFi too. Or will it be "I'm sorry, sir, you can't buy sandwich, we're not in GoGo range"
if it's wifi (and even if it's on phone networks), how will they use them for sales on international flights? That's where the big money is, those duty free carts.
Delta has announced they'll add GoGo's satellite internet. So perhaps now it will be "I'm sorry, sir, internet is very slow so you might starve to death before you can buy that sandwich"
I'm a little worried they'll sell economy comfort seats right off the butts of us who got them for free due to status. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised.
Haha, watched FA's struggle with them on DL1933 CVG-LAX Thursday.
