I actually was very impressed with the courtesy extended to all the active-duties when I was in ATL last week. Everyone, from TSA down to a few baggage folks wandering the terminal, made it a point to stop and thank the men and women waiting for planes in their BDUs. Nice to see something positive lately, even if we all are the 17% of the 53% of the 99% of the 1% of whatever % that % is. :)

Of my two military deployments to Afghanistan, trekking to ATL to head back after two weeks leave was always my lowest point. As a FFer formerly based in ATL and often found in ATL, it was a bit tougher to be someplace so familiar and heading back.

The reception I've received in ATL when in uniform has been very good.
