We all know DL struggles with IT. Tonight's experience was the strangest I've had. Let's start with these facts: 1) I'm willing to buy first class tickets for an itinerary. 2) The flights I want are all showing F6 or better on ExpertFlyer. (The DL rep confirms seeing the same segment-by-segment availability.) However, it seems for our route and date, Delta will sell: a) Award tickets in the forward cabin, b) Award tickets in the main cabin, or c) Revenue tickets in the economy cabin. But...they can't seem to get their system to sell revenue tickets in the forward cabin! I want to buy seats and they have them for sale....seems like a good match, no? Two different one-hour calls with the Medallion desk, and they couldn't sort it out. Staff all very, very nice..."never seen this in 20 years"...but both ended with a fail. $2,800 in revenue heading to American.
