A Delta airplane knocked over a parked shuttle bus Saturday when one of its wings clipped the bus on the runway at Detroit Metropolitan Airport, officials said.

    There were no injuries.

The Delta MD-80 had landed safely at the airport around 12:45 p.m. Saturday and was taxing on the north end of the McNamara terminal concourse when its left wing tip clipped a medium-sized airport shuttle bus, said Metro Airport spokesman Mike Conway. The shuttle bus tipped over.

My very first thought upon reading and seeing there were no injuries was "that's awesome." Although this thread is worthless without pictures!

My first thought was that it was a CRJ and yet another one would be broken. Unfortunately, it was a sturdy MD that probably just needed a little polishing to get the scratch out of the wing tip.

I'm pretty happy in 1A on a CRJ-900 or even the 175, but I hate the CRJ-200s as well as the CRJ-700s, even in FC.

When I refer to RJ's, I am referring to the CRJ200s.

Ah, the infamous CRJ with no number that means the worst, CRJ-200.

Delta should pay us to fly on them -- -it's the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on -- Saabs used to be in second place, but they're (like a Detroit Tiger Home Run) LONG GONE !!!

Saabs were fine if you got the middle seat in the last row and had no one on either side of you!! Then again, you had to make sure your fillings were firmly planted in your teeth!!
