We flew SFO/CLE/LGA earlier in the week, When we arrived in CLE, I found out the CLE/LGA flight was delayed 2 hours. After 30 minutes went by, the flight, the last one of the night, was cancelled. We were re-booked the following morning. The gal at the United Club gave us food vouchers + a voucher for the Sheraton (nice place). In the old pmUA days, I would have walked away with travel vouchers for my overnight delay. When I asked, the gal said UA doesn't do this anymore, and I'd hear from UA within 24 hours (automatically). I'm writing this at 48 hours. I didn't want to leave the RCC empty-handed. I knew that I wouldn't hear from UA quickly. How does UA handle this situation post merger? Was the gal at the club correct? Any idea what to expect from UA in compensation? We're both Gold.
