[Dec 10, 2012] Dinner with UA Capt. Denny and Red Carpet Raffle... (Burlingame, CA (Near SFO))

UA Captain Denny Flanagan will be overnighting near SFO on December 10 and would like to get together with fellow MilePointers for a dinner at 6:00 p.m. at Max's Restaurant and Bar, 1250 Old Bayshore Highway, Burlingame, CA (Near SFO) 94010. There will also be a raffle to benefit the United We Care Relief Fund. Many UA employees were affected by Sandy and United will match donations to this fund up to $100,000. Further details below.

Mike Hanna and our UA friends at SFO have come through for us once again and have provided us with a UA Red Carpet for a raffle to benefit the United We Care Employee Relief Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. United will match donations made to this Fund up to $100,000. Your tax-deductible donation will enable the Relief Fund to continue to help those in the United family who have been impacted by Superstorm Sandy.

As most of your know, at an auction of UA carpets at SFO last week during SMD4, each carpet sold for $900! There aren't many of these left and this is a great opportunity to own a piece of UA history!

We will also have a raffle for UA swag from the Mainliner store similar to what we had at a dinner in September. Here's a few pictures of items for the swag raffle:






You can participate in each raffle without attending the dinner. You will also be able to purchase tickets for the raffles at the dinner.

Of course, all who RSVP to this thread and attend will receive one of my now famous Name Badges, suitable for your swag shelf.

You can purchase raffle tickets by making a donation directly to the Relief Fund at www.crowdrise.com/unitedwecare. Online donations must be made between the date and time of this post and 4:00 pm Pacific Time, December 10, 2012 to participate in the raffles. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at the dinner.

Red Carpet Raffle, for a donation of:
$10 - one chance
$20 - three chances
$50 - ten chances
$100 - thirty chances

United Swag Raffle, for a donation of:
$5 - one chance
$10 - three chances
$20 - ten chances
$50 - thirty chances

After you make a donation using the link above, email a copy of your receipt to uatulip@gmail.com no later than 4:00 pm Pacific Time December 10, 2012 to participate in the raffles. You can split the donation between the raffles or just go "all in" on one. Indicate your preference in the email. We will reply with an image of your tickets and notify winners not present by email.

Raffle tickets will be drawn at the dinner on December 10th.

BTW per Capt Denny's recommendation I gave the FA on my way home 10 ballpoints from FTU. She was very pleased.

Thanks to everyone both online and in person who made donations. Congratulations to all the winners! I'm a bit caught up in a time crunch right now but am in the process of notifying all winners who weren't present of the item(s) won.

 

Sorry to have missed the dinner I was apparently dying to attend.
