You gave me quite a scare, but thank you for realizing your mistake and returning it quickly. I wish I'd been there when you brought it back, but I was busy having a panic attack at lost and found / security.

Had my sport coat taken once on an RJ. I wear a 42 long and the culprit wore probably a 38 regular. It was thankfully clear who wasn't wearing the right jacket.

I hear a neon rainbow rollaboard with glitter is a new fashion trend.

It's better to just add a brightly colored ribbon to the luggage.

I do this. Also a large blue Milepoint or a yellow MP Fly Strong luggage tag helps.

I buy black luggage for practical reasons, since everything takes such a beating and gets scuffed, but after this and numerous close calls with a larger bag at baggage claim, I'm beginning to respect the brighter colors.

My recollection is getting hazier, but the only other rollaboard parked by the bank of urinal had a laptop case on top. If this bag belonged to the fellow who took mine, he was probably just as panicked as I was. Hard to imagine him making that mistake, unless he was wined and dined in BusinessElite on our flight.

Red doesn't quite work either, since everyone else thinks the same way.

I find the best way to differentiate your luggage is to have random stuff attached. Those Milepoint luggage tags will come in handy soon.

I've seen some small stuffed animals attached to luggage handles. They don't look very professional for business travel, but they could deter the wrong person from grabbing the bag.

I guess that "RADIOACTIVE" sticker I put on my luggage is really paying off! Never had a problem. ;)

My luggage is pretty unique - at least in north america - I saw a lot of it in germany - but no concerns with the riff raff luggage in NA :p ;)

I have always tried to use whatever color everyone else isn't using. I am thinking neon green or pink next.

My luggage is royal blue. Not exactly the most professional looking but it doesn't ever get confused by another dude in the bathroom. :cool:I did just get an awesome leather weekender for when I'm travelling lighter and want to look a little bit nicer.

Maybe I should use my old Silver Medallion tags? Surely those would deter accidental theft. Heck, even the Gold Medallion tags might do the trick. :( #wayfardowntheupgradequeue

Me too! And I don't worry too much that someone is going to walk off with my luggage, I would be able to see it.

    And besides...I like pink. :)

My wife actually put some red/green with gold trim Christmas ribbon on ours. Haven't seen another bag yet with any close to it! You could even do multiple ribbons, i.e., one on the top handle and a different one on the side handle. Greater likelihood of uniqueness that way.

My one fear with the radioactive sticker is getting a hard time from TSA :p ;)

Rimowa cuts a pretty good profile here. If they made a black-anodized version I'd be on it in a heartbeat.

I like to wear sunglasses and all black in the winter. People wonder if I'm a professional killer. A few have asked.

Logo sticker from local music band pressed onto bag top extremely well. Doesn't annoy me and visible a mile away.

I just don't check a bag. Ever. Those days are long behind me...although it was a bit of a logistical challenge when we went to Switzerland in the dead of winter for 8 days...

Which works... until you're bringing 32kg of fabric back from bali.
