My wife and I would like to go to Vegas...Does anyone know of any special deals going on now for hotels and shows? Or where would be a good resource to check out?

    -Thanks

For some shows and restaurants, go to the HALFPRICETIX booth located at various places along the strip. Other than that, edekba makes good suggestions. Maybe some hotels are having a room+show promo.

mycheapvegas.com usually has a good list of deals. If you're looking for a semi-nicer place, sometimes it's a good deal to go through one of the "luxury" OTA's (FHR, kiwicollection, lhrcollection, mastercard elite hotels, etc) because they offer decent prices and amenities on top.

VRBO.com, you can practically steal some of the condos.

A lot of times you can get some great deals just going through the hotels/resorts website. They offer you great rates for signing up for their mailing list. When you are in Vegas make sure you join some of the Players Clubs. They are always sending out great rate offers during the year and you'll usually get some free play the next time you go out there.

    +1 on www.mycheapvegas.com

It's also worth looking at the websites of the properties you want to stay at. The F&B credit promos are great especially if it's $50+. If you are flexible and are willing to move between properties you can save some money. Also, note that most properties charge a resort fee except for Harrahs properties.

If you have hotel points you can redeem it at some great properties:
    -Priority Club = Venetian/Palazzo
-Hilton = Hilton Grand Vacation at the Flamingo and Elara (These are the top two properties on the Strip for HHonors) Starting 1/2013 you can redeem for nights at the Tropicana too.
-SPG = Westin Las Vegas (it's not directly on the Strip)
    -Marriott = Cosmopolitan

It's not worth redeeming hotel points unless rates are high which is usually Fri/Sat nights. Personally, I think V/P and Cosmo are the best two properties for hotel redemptions...
