Checking in for my flight tomorrow morning, I noticed that the direct flight I'm on from DCA- PDX (through MSP) actually says "nonstop" on my online itinerary. Federal law notwithstanding, that would be an interesting "3h 44m" flight on a mad dog (which hopefully would be packing the auxiliary fuel tanks).

I wonder what the complaint robot will say if I write in about my unexpected stop. ("I can only imagine your horror when you left the plane and discovered yourself in Minneapolis not Portland ,OR...)

The robot that responds will be devastated. You will be upset if the direct flight means that you lose upgrades and miles.
