    AA announced the impact of slot divestitures at LGA and DCA today. In summary:

    DCA

    Losing service to -

    • Fort Walton Beach, FL
    • Islip
    • Jacksonville, NC
    • Little Rock
    • Minneapolis
    • Montreal

    The slot freed up by discontinuing SAN service will add a 2nd daily DCA-LAX.

    I was a bit surprised at the loss of Montreal, Nassau, and San Diego ex-DCA.

    Somewhat surprised they're dropping SAN, since that was only added withing the past year or two, IIRC. I get dropping DTW & MSP, since you figure DL has a stranglehold on those routes.

    Surprised about losing Islip. Always near full and based on fares I paid for my kid appeared profitable.

    The interesting thing will be to see where they get the slots for the added LGA service. Will be interesting to see the future schedule for both DCA and LGA.
