Looks like Starwood is going to hold a sale with a decent discount. But it looks like the site won't go live until November 25th. Please see article for more details.

    Thanks Deb,

Do you know offhand if the stays booked count towards status & earn points? (I read quickly the link provided & didn't see any info on this)

Unfortunately, it looks like we won't know the answer until the 25th. I only came across this because I'm a shareholder, so it shows up in my portfolio newsfeed.

Maybe one of the bloggers that frequent MP can look into this more for us (hint, hint). :)

Not Deb or a blogger, but yes, these count towards status and earn Starpoints.

Already answered above officially, but I was going to say I scored some killer cyber monday deals last year and yes they counted as normal stays towards status and earned points

I'll be writing more about this, but in 2011 and 2012 the cyber monday sale was for reservations starting beginning january through march/april. In 2012 there were 35 hotels that participated. Reservations count just as they normally would with points, status, etc.

Interesting re the Sheraton Kauai Cyber Monday sale. I booked that exact price of $169 for a garden view room about 1.5 to 2 months ago for a stay at end November but it was called the Paradise sale. So its not a new sale price, its probably just been "re-branded" as a Cyber Monday sale price.

They had a discounted price under the Paradise sale for the Deluxe Ocean Front rooms too. They were $249.

Frankly, after staying there, I am not sure either price is such a great deal. If I can find a thread about the actual hotel, I will post more details of my stay. Word of warning, check ALL your dining receipts and keep a copy to match with your final bill. I found discrepancies on mine :(
