Anyone know of a credit card that lets you use your miles on cruises?
About 5 or 6 years ago United did have that type of redemption. However, the problem was that the cruises that were available were very limited and were VERY costly in terms of points. So the venture failed.
Even today, if you look at the cruise booking promotions that some airlines have, the cruises are still very limited and not price competitive.
Actually, I think that Hilton still lets you use your miles on a Cruise.
Total Points Needed
Go to HHonors for all the details. This is thru a partnership with Cruises Only Travel Agency.
Carnival was pushing their seamiles card pretty heavy when we were on them in 2009. Only available to US residents. Not sure their deal is any better than any of the other travel cards out there where you just earn points and use them for whatever travel you want to. Can't find any info on it now, so it might have been discontinued.
There is another non-cruise line specific card at www.seamiles.com
