This CP hotel could not be better situated. Perfect location; perfect views. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was on the top floor of the lower building, at the town-end of the hall. It felt private. The door was heavy and well insulated. The bed was king-size and comfortable. The room was clean. But all you notice is the glass slider to the balcony - and the view! From this room's vantage point, you can spot basically anything worth seeing in Queenstown: the promenade, the mountains, the lake, the boats. With the glass door closed, no street noise was heard. We requested one of every pillow type on the menu, plus the lavender oil. The only other amenity sampled was the sauna room, which has showers, and was conveniently located steps away. Trust me: there are so many activities in/around Queenstown that you are not in the room very much, despite how nice it is. The good: Stunning setting. Friendly check-in. Quality as expected. The not so good: None. Go now! The bad: We couldn't stay forever. A tip: Parking on the (San Francisco steep) side street is free. Our car was for driving all over the island. This town is basically 100% walkable.
