    Sydney and north in Australia will be fine.

    NZ wil be cooler, though I've played golf on the north island in July (cape kidnappers) and while cool, it was fine.

    South island of NZ will have plenty of great skiing then. While most of us northern types don't associate NZ with skiing, they've got some decent options there.

    Even this week at thredbo, one of Australia's two principal ski destinations, the conditions were pretty heavy.

    Its always a great time to visit these two places.
