I'm a bit worried they won't call me to board. :D This came out of UA for a mixed itin with a US Air segment on it.

    Awesome!

DO NOT APPROACH THE GATE UNTIL YOUR GROUP IS CALLED!!! :)

Obviously a issue with UA issuing a BP for US.

You might want to send UAInsider a copy of that with all the information so it can be researched.

Does US even accept UA boarding passes or would this have to be exchanged in SNA?

That number is awesome but I'm guessing it's some combo of a sequence number, your actual boarding group and the year SHARES was invented.

Group "one million, nine hundred ninety one thousand, nine hundred thirty-five" may now board. All others please wait comfortably in the gate area.

Imagine how bad it would be if you weren't star gold!

That is AWESOME! :) I hope someone at the gate at least had a chuckle about that!

I didn't realize SHARES has been around since 1936 and still has some of that legacy code

Perhaps they're going to flaunt convention and board the highest numbers first.

I would show it to the Gate Agent Early. They might want to call your group number first for Giggles.

The barcode system seems to have been standardized, so yes
    in my experience.

The last time I had a mixed UA-US, my BPs showed "paper required"

Many laughs at the boarding pass, and they boarded "zone 1 and you too."

I was actually able to use a UA-printed BP on a US flight about 2 years ago. GA was confused and thought I had the wrong flight, but tried scanning it anyway and it worked. I'd assume it still works that way... ;)
