    No sure the cost would justify the shorter time in my case...didn't Concorde tix sell for $10,000 or something? :)

    Maybe in the future there will come a time when such speeds are the norm. Depends on the input, will and technology. IMHO, Concorde was the first act, will this be the second act? I sincerely hope they get costs under control too. It will eventually take a very long time to achieve this goal.;)

    I think this tech is more so for war/military. Air drops or cruise misslle launched from a couple timezone's away and still hit the target within 6 hrs.

    Passengers riding in something ... idk about that. Plus getting the craft up/down safely with life is something that has to be thought about.

    Only in that the aircraft destroyed itself in the form of a control surface misbehaving even before it reached the sound barrier. :oops:
