So I guess we'll be getting a Citi VISA card w/o having to apply? Will Citi have to do a hardpull in order to transfer the portfolio over?

Also guess that frees up one of the 4 AMEX cards I have...

We have used VISA and MC for on line orders, for quite a while, also GC are easy to flush at Costco..

Still I used SPG there. Hate to see them go.

Bad news, Citi is the worst of them all, I cancelled all my Citi cards years ago , worst cs , wish they went with Chase or BOA.

I just filled out a form in Citi CS,

Hate to say how many times I have churned Citi, we did 5 AA EX Cards last year, 500,000 miles, and a few other Thank you, and AA,

Chase, I have a business and personal, account, and they have been ...trusting...Churned them many times..

BOA, Good bank, but hold that churn a bit short...they watch you.,
They do have a promo going on now 50% perk..

SPG was always good for a 1.25 swap to AA,

SPG FOR AA Miles, SPG was a go to card.

Me I am like Jesus I love them all,

My wife is Asian, and loves to go home to see mommy, so the miles really helps...

Thank God for miles, and FaceTime...and the 12 hour time difference..

I'd wait and see what will they announce specifically vis-à-vis the consumers and then proceed.

Agreed. I read a blog comment from someone who said the Amex-to-MC transition in Canada required each Costco member who wanted a MC to apply for it (did not mention whether hard pull was needed). Also want to see what cashback terms will be offered on the new Citi card, and whether they will charge AF and/or FTF. You can always use some other VISA card if you don't like the Citi deal.

As a Canadian Costco MC card holder, I confirm that I had to apply......in store and less than five minutes.

Back in 2009 during the Costco 20% Hyatt Certs my AMEX sign up bonus was $25 with the first purchase ... of course my first purchase was $2K of these Hyatt certs ;)

You can bet the sign up tables wil be set up,

AMEX has always charge extra, for their service, but they do give good service, would not count the out,

I built more than one business on a credit card, before MS, it was always a quick loan..

I don't have any experience with Citi but was hoping for a MasterCard. Actually I was hoping for a World MasterCard and a World Elite for Executive members.

Not a real biggie if all you use your Costco CC for is, Fuel, maybe Small Business Saturday, Fuel, and well, of course Costco. Grossed $285.00, cash back, doing just that this past 12 months.
