Might be a nice way for Milepoint to advertise! :D

Budgets – or lack thereof – are a constant challenge for most U.S. airports ... especially in the current economy.

But the folks at Oregon's Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport think they've come up with a creative solution to help boost the airport's bottom line. They hope to sell advertising on all four sides of the airport's control tower, which can seen not only by passengers, but from beyond the airfield grounds.

"It's not really advertising," airport director Bern Case says to The Associated Press. "It's more showing a corporate presence for somebody who would like to be involved with the community."
"Advertising" or not – it would come with a nice check for the airport. Case tells AP that the airport is in talks with an undisclosed company that would pay about $300,000 annually for 10 years to have its logo placed on all four sides of the 100-foot control tower.
