Continental adds new "winglets" to Boeing 747-400 fleet

    I didn't see anyone else mention this, but if you look at 747-400 seat maps on CO.com, you'll notice that the upper deck is getting it's own set of wing(lets).

    Maybe it can detach and fly on it's own. That way the next time two Y pax start duking it out over a hastily reclined seat, you can continue on without being diverted.

    Why is it Upper Deck (UB) not (UD)?

    Good catch. Under what circumstances will they release the saucer section?

    Perhaps US/CO is quietly giving Virgin Galactic some competition?
