|| Consumers favor bank travel reward cards over airline cards ||
Sense and sensibility.
The airline points programs and their cards are not very good deals in Canada anymore. it costs $1100 and 90,000 points to a get a J reward seat on AC to Europe. I can get an upgradable fare using my bank CC's, get the equivalent of about $1300 totally free, using 55,000 points for the whole ticket and get my status miles to boot. I do have to play theupgrade game but as a Super Elite that is easily managed. Airlines are definitely losing that game and possibly on purpose
