Going to Hong Kong for 4 nights in October. Can stay either at Conrad or Hyatt. What recommendations based on locations and hotel amenities? Am Diamond member for each.

Conrad is nice...great location right above pacific place and mtr.

I stay religiously at the JW marriott across the street.

We are presently at the Conrad. As a diamond member they upgraded us to a beautiful suite. The service and location are fantastic. The metro and three malls are right here so you don't ever have to go into the street to get anywhere. The lounge has food and drinks almost all day long. The breakfast is served in three locations. I would recommend the main restaurant in the lower lobby as it has the largest selection of food. I too am a Hyatt and Hilton diamond, but I much prefer the location of the Conrad in Hong Kong. The best way to get here from the airport is to take the airport express train to Hong Kong, the last of three stops. From there you get a free shuttle bus to several hotels. The Conrad is the second stop. Don't waste your money on a taxi.

That's better than my Conrad Sing stay...no upgrade. :(

I think location is going to be dependent on what you plan on doing. TST (Hyatt) is a bit closer, thought not great, if you want to hang out in Mongkok area. If you want to stay on the island, then Conrad is a better location. We just got back from HK and stayed at Langham in Mongkok - food (local and high-end) everywhere within walking distance.

I am leaving for HKG on Friday where I will be staying for 7 nights at this property, which it's like "own" when it comes suite upgrades. I have not been declined a single one and the last three I got without asking quite likely for having stayed there multiple times in recent years (e.g., 4 times in 2013). When I have the time, I will update the HHonors suite upgrade thread to include my latest 4 or so, which will include one at this property in January...

Anyway, the Conrad HKG is a great property all around.
