Is 44 minutes enough time to catch a connecting flight in Detroit? I haven't flown through that airport before.

You have to tell us which airlines are involved.

At the south terminal, assuming your connecting Delta to Delta, you can get from any given point to any other point in about 10 to 15 minutes, but you also have to allow for the time to get off the plane. DTW has a number of moving sides walks and a tram system in the A concourse.. Bottom line is you have a tight connection, but one that's legal.

The north terminal serves all airlines, except Delta and I doubt you'll be there.

The two terminals are about a mile apart and if you have to change terminals, you'll have to go through security a second time and I would allow about two hours to make such a connection.

It's Delta to Delta. Sounds like I'll be ok?

You should be fine. It is a nice, modern terminal and as mentioned above, you can walk everywhere in 10-15 min max.
