Is this really a new product? The T&C is dated January 2010.

The website is mostly dysfunctional, offering almost no information and none of the links are working for me, even if I type the URLs directly in to the address bar.

Free is nice, I suppose, but if there are no real benefits to it or if they require using their booking code to get the benefits the value may not be particularly great.

There is no room for non USA addresses......I presume this is only open to residents of the USA.

Thanks for letting us know, but do not really believe it is a great program, Leading Hotels of the World is better with a membership at their LC and after clicking the link provided I found out it is only for US residents!

It's not new, but it was new to me. I can't remember how I ran across it and signed up for it. It might've been through a Bombay Sapphire promo. I couldn't find any other meaningful discussion of the pass, though, so thought I'd start a thread here.

It's much more functional if you register. The code CNTPASS might help.

It appears that the benefits for some hotels (such as some Mandarin Orientals) require that you book specific rates and/or that you book by a specific method. In my example for Blue Palace, though, there is no mention of needing to book a specific rate or through any particular booking channel. Instead, it just says, "Guests will need to present their PASS card upon check in at the Front Desk." So IMO, anyone planning a stay at this resort ought to consider signing up if they have time to wait 4-6 weeks to receive the card.

And since the card doesn't come pre-printed with anyone's name, the card could theoretically be shared. There's a space on the back to sign it, but that's the only personalization of the card. No member number or other unique feature.

Only for US residents, or only for those with US addresses? (Or friends with US addresses?)

Yeah but also seems to be largely focussed on Mexico. Kinda weird to see all those US MO's in there but none in Asia!

I'm not surprised to see so much participation in Mexico. Their luxury hotel market is not booming as it was a few years ago. What seems stranger to me is that there are relatively few properties in the US.

We would think that Conde Nast Traveler has the power to get the whole MO chain on board?

Wonder who reads this magazine month after month and are the readers the real deal?
