Does anyone know of a location on the web that has a fairly comprehensive list of 5th freedom flights around the globe? I've looked on my own but haven't seen anything that struck me as even anywhere near comprehensive.

I've taken a few in the past and I'm scheduled on a few in the future and it got me thinking these types of flights in general.

Any who..... if anyone knows of a list, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks!

Sadly there is no longer a comprehensive list. Ages ago there was on on the ICAO website but it disappeared more than a decade ago IIRC. Now almost all of them are strictly bilateral so they do not have the former" technical stop with carriage" that was common when planes had shorter ranges and fewer countries had long haul carriers. The closest I know of is a common airport by airport list of which airlines have fifth freedom rights at the airport.

I used to maintain a list for *A but haven't kept it up to date.

5th freedom flights seem to change rather frequently.

Well since there's no list out, since I'm curious about 5th freedom flights I'll add a few, and perhaps someone could create one for everyone's benefit?

Thanks for posting the link. As one commenter pointed out, these are just mileage-bookable routes or routes that earn miles in major programs. I did not include airlines like IranAir or Pakistan Airlines.

Also BRU-YYZ ;) ... BRU is a hub for 9W. India to North America is a very long-haul flight so it's easier to break it up in either Europe for the east coast or Asia for the west coast. It also gave a decent place to drop off European passengers, especially with codeshares with SN.

The good thing about BRU for 9W was that you could transfer at BRU to non-BOM/DEL cities like Bangalore and Chennai, rather than flying directly to BOM and schlepping to a different terminal on a domestic terminal. Unfortunately 9W has cut back a lot of services from BRU to India (only 3 cities now), depending on AA and SN to serve JFK (not too bad with EWR service), and also cutting SFO service via PVG (though the SFO-PVG-BOM flight was horribly timed on the PVG stop).
