At properties that charge for access to their gym, do elites get that access for free?

I don't see this as a benefit on the Marriott Rewards website, might be missing it, but this is so standard with other chains... At least at health clubs operated by the hotel.

But then since late checkout isn't even guaranteed to Platinums... and suites are officially excluded from the upgrade benefit... and breakfast doesn't apply on the weekends or at resorts...

I guess nothing should surprise me!

Logically Gym access should be free for elites, but Marriott is Marriott, and this reward program delivers not much benefits nor consistency IMHO. Knowing what I know and knowing what you know, why bother?;)

I was at the Ren Seoul in December. Their gym/sauna/spa seems to be an outside concession, as non-guests may use it for a fee, and hotel guests ordinarily pay a slightly reduced fee. Gold status was sufficient for it to be free for me.
