I was wondering if it was worth trying, I took an airberlin flight that was delayed for 2 hours, but I was going to claim the miles with AA.
If I file a complaint about the delay with AA will I get anything out of it?

    Thanks in advance

Absolutely no chance ...I am flabbergated that the thought even crossed your mind.

Why not go the whole hog and claim with BA, CX, QF, JAL they are all part of Oneworld too?

Now now.. It's fine to ask for people's opinion, lets be a little nicer, please ;)

To the poster: There are EU rules that entitles you to compensation. Unfortunately, the delay needs to be over 4 hours

Really??? Are you saying that one can get miles as compensation on another airline which the OP didnt actually fly?

No, I don't believe I said that. I was just informing the poster about the EU compensation rules, which of course needs to be filed with the operating carrier, but is not relevant as the delay was only two hours.

And most importantly, I just think it's important to keep this place friendy

I apologise for somehow thinking your were answering the OPs question.
Now kindly tell me where did he say he was flying from or intra-EU? (so that I am able to put your informative response in perspective)
