Per the chart published by JetBlue today:

Specific expense reimbursement is also being reconsidered on a case-by-case basis.

Do we know when JetBlue assumed JFK would be open with 1 runway on Friday morning, were they basing their assumption on predictions from the PA (who run's the airport) , or
just based on looking at the weather reports? If they were basing on the PA predictions then its less of their fault.

I am not sure you may ever find out. Publicly blaming the operators of the airport for you assuming the 1 runway would be open may not be smart in the long run. I wouldn't be surprised to here that it was do to a miscommunication or a sudden change in the weather forecast.

Word I got is that the PANYNJ gave advice based on forecasts and then revised that advice early on Friday morning after it became clear that "the forecast was better than actual conditions."

And if JetBlue was overly cautious and canceled more flights and the weather was better then expected, they would be hammered for being overly cautious. Stuff like this is a no win situation for the airline.
