I currently have a trip that has two reservations, one is for DEN-RNO, the other is RNO-SIN. For ease of management, is there any hope whatsoever that I could call United and get these put under one reservation (without incurring any fees)?

Theoretically possible but very unlikely, especially if you aren't at least a Premier Executive level member of the United frequent flyer program. If you aren't at that level, you'll likely get a reservations agent in India or the Philippines, and they typically aren't allowed to do anything not in their script books.

I'll give them a call tomorrow, and I am an Exec, so that's a plus.

No need to call -- it is technically impossible to combine reservations.

    Well that makes things easy.
