I'll start off this thread by sharing some Cologne Cathedral photos.

I was there at the end of March a few years back, so towards the end of winter. Nice day, but not much blue in the sky. Looking forward to the excellent photos I know others have.

    Exterior of cathedral.

Wonderful place. In 1981 I spent a day there. One of the stonecutters took me through all the workshops, up on the roof (on the scaffolding), and all through the place. Another stone cutter was retiring that day, and gave me one of his mallets as a gift- I have it on display in my shop. It was a fantastic day.

Only one thing wrong that day- I was on the roof, realized I was almost out of film, having left my extra rolls in a storage locker at the train station. That is a major regret.

The Roman Museum is well worth a visit:

It is indeed (right next to the Cathedral ... I even have a few interesting shots from inside the museum looking thru windows to the Cathedral).

Only have a few from inside museum. Recovered tile works (floors and walls) are very nice!

Perhaps, but they all pale next to the experience of posting on Milepoint! [IMG]
