    Hi
I am planning a trip next year to new zealand

    I have a members with Miles&More ( lufthansa) as LH*G

I would buy the ticket from air new zealand, but two sections of the trip are operated by singapore air, and lufthansa itself.

Who will decide, for those sections, how many miles are earned for the ticket class:

Air new zealand , the ticket issuer
Singapore and lufthansa, the code share flight operators
Lufthansa, as per the rules of miles earned with star alliance partners

    Thanks for your help!

You will earn based on ticketed fare class from the OPERATING carrier which may or may not be the same as that of the ticketing carrier. The earning rules are defined by the program you credit to. So if crediting to M&M you would need to figure out the fare class on LH or SQ that the NZ ticket books in to and then check the M&M earning page for those airlines.

Figuring out the codeshare mapping can be challenging. Best bet is to call the operating carrier (i.e. LH or SQ) after the ticket is issued and ask them to confirm the booking class on their system, but it is not always easy.
