Uh oh...looks like AA should make some changes ASAP. They're home pages fares are almost always one-way and don't include taxes and fees from what I've seen. Then again, I wonder if the $120,000 fine is really anything compared to how much more they've made from saying $199 each way to Europe from EWR vs. $199+$200 in fuel surcharges each way to Europe from EWR...

$120,000 certainly seems like very little compared to other fines, fees, etc. Like the $4.3 billion in fees U.S. airlines collected last year

This reminds me of the AA voucher fees they were charging and the pathetic fine they got slapped with...can't seem to find it now though.

I remember when .bomb switched from showing you the full price to showing you just the base fare. Really ticked me off. But since I always go to ITA first, I don't even look at the fare anymore until the final confirmation page.

It really ticks me off because it's dishonest. I think I deserve to be treated better by the company that gets thousands of dollars out of my personal coffers each year.

I remember that too. I actually really respected UA for showing all-inclusive fares. Then they fell to the "everyone else is doing it" and started the base fare crappola.

And they claimed they were doing it because of government regulations. Shame, shame.

while i think that's terrific, i really wish the amount was more in line with the crazy fuel charges they're levying on the flying public...like, in the millions. $120,000 is a drop in the bucket.

    still, it's a start.

I actually like seeing the base fare without the other fees for the purpose of tricking it
