Seeing on flightboard EWR-txl is redirected to Allstedt (EBDT). Any known reason or is this in error?

I'm guessing it's in error since the flight hasn't left yet.

Its for tonights departure. Looked at sat map, there's not even a terminal, looks almost deserted. What a crappy surprise that would be for the pax.

I don't think Allstedt is even a commercial airport.

It's also out of the way as a diversion airport for TXL.

    I'm going with error.

It think it might be a mistake in the ICAO code in the underlying flightplan.

EDBT is not far off TXL's actual code of EDDT. Perhaps whoever entered the code thought it was E(urope-North)D(eutschland/Germany)B(erlin)T(egel). There are some airports which follow this pattern, like ARN which is E(urope-North)S(weden)S(tockholm)A(rlanda).

In Germany, the major airports are all EDDx, with EDDT being Tegel. (EDDF for FRA, EDDM for MUC, EDDH for Hamburg and so on).
