    HI,
MY CIti Bank VISA card annual fee renewal date is Mar 1, 2013.

I called Citi asking if any retention offers were available.

I was told $25 towards the $95 annual fee was all that's available.

Anyone get anything better and is how did you get it?

Poor €-Mannn. I will give you some attention on Valentine's Day.:)

It may be helpful to other MPers if you specified which Citi Visa you are trying to cash in on.

You may want to call Citi back and find a CSR who may be more helpful. Be even calmer and politer than you usually are with other humans.

Best of luck on getting your fee waived or some other equitable bonus.

Perhaps try the "uncertain about my future with AA due to the merger" route.

I got the 3K AA miles after spending $500 in 6 months offer but I still had to pay the $85 annual fee. They also lowered the interest rate to 9.95% for 6 months (from 15.24%) on any unpaid balances ... I took the deal.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure what I will do as I don't need lower interest rate and FF miles don't work as well today as they did in 2010.

I am thinking of downgrading to a card with no fee's and I think give 1 point per $2 spent. STill searching for ideas.

OK, Citi Bank offered to waive my annual fee if I spent $1000 over the next 3 months. I grabbed this offer!

Previously, I heard customers got bonus points + fee waiver but I just wanted to maintain my credit rating and was hoping not to cancel any CC's
