    Hi Everybody-

My wife and I will be in Shanghai for Christmas this year. I'd love any recommendations on unique activities or dining options available in Shanghai around Christmas. I've seen some recommendations for really expensive restaurants, but does anyone know of an awesome place to eat on Christmas (or Christmas eve) that won't break the bank? Any special events or performances we shouldn't miss?

    Thanks for your help!

I believe there is a Christmas market held at Jiashan Market with live music and childrens activites, may be worth a look.

My instinct would be to look for lights and decorations along the Bund and in the French concession area. I'd expect hotels like the Peninsula to be very pretty and have some special events, such as high tea with seasonal treats. (The Hong Kong property did this very well and was very popular, so be sure to book a table in advance.)
