Okay. Opening a plane's emergency exit is very different from using a building's emergency exit. There are quite a few of these incidents going on though. It does screws up fellow passenger's plans on top of whatever they have already endured earlier.

However, having a nasty tempered pilot is probably what a lawyer would argue as a mitigating factor.

Leaving the air-conditioning running during the de-icing process would have really sucked in the very strong fumes of the de-icing fluid, which is even strongly odoriferous without the A/C running as it seeps into the cabin. Guess the pax didn't know that at the time. No reason for them to open the exit doors though as that obviously didn't help their problem.

The first report indicated that the pax were "overly excited."

    No reason why, though.

    Perhaps news of P3?

Could you therefore be insinuating that those Chinese pax on a Chinese airline could have possibly gotten information from China's possibly hacking into MP's website to glean that which none of us otherwise are privy to at present, and which indeed may have caused their "overly exitedness" when all the heretofore unknown details were provided on the plane?

Any MP regulars aboard that flight who might be willing to give us a hint too? We need some overly excitement around here about now.
