    Hi everyone,
My trip usually start from pdx, and end at pdx. And I'm wondering if airlines let me check my bag at the check in counter-the bag never leaves the airport, but it simply moved down to the baggage claim area?

I'm asking this because motorcycle parking at pdx is free and mc parking is right at the terminal.

If I ride my bike to airport, I need to check my riding gears like helmet, boots and protective suits, etc.that fills a large duffle bag. I could check my bag for free, but I'd prefer not to deal with it while I'm traveling, since I don't need it until I'm back at my home airport, and my bag of gears will be safer if it just stay at the same airport.

    Any experiences? Best regards, tokomu

I'm not sure if they'd be willing to do this...in fact my guess is not...but what about checking it to your destination and rechecking once you land if it it is a same day trip?

I guess I may need to try few times and see what happens. But it could be bad if my bag gets lost-I can't go home:'(
    Thanks-

Very much doubt that they'll be able to do this.

Try it and see if their head explodes. I'd never check something like that, too many ways to get screwed. Even though a hassle, I'd carry the duffle bag on.

I wish it is small enough to carry on, but it is way too big. Now I want to ask and see the reactions. Thank you Jaimito

I figured that I couldn't just drop it off at the baggage claim, but I thought may be possible if the bag goes through the security procedures???, but may be not.
    Thanks!
