    Hi, folks.

My parents will be flying BOS-NRT in business on JL007, with an AA codeshare award. They were only able to find a NRT-NGO award the following day, so will be forced to stay overnight at NRT.

What are the rules re. checked bags in this case? They'd like to take advantage of their business-class baggage limit (2 bags at 70 lbs each). Normally, you'd just go through immigration and customs at NRT, then walk over and check in your bags for the domestic leg and not have to worry about the bag limits because it's a connecting flight. Is their flight the next day considered a connection (with no baggage troubles)? It's less than 24 hours. Also, they don't have any status.

Also, if they have to keep their bags overnight, they'd prefer to leave them somewhere at the airport rather than take them to the hotel. Is there a place in NRT to do this?

I haven't had to do this, so thanks in advance for your help.

If everything on a single ticket, they will be able to take 3 x 32kg (not 2).

There are baggage storages at NRT T2. They could also use the coin lockers.
