Never seen anything like that either. Seems too easy for anyone to take it to the bank and deposit it in their account through the ATM.

Yes, there are some companies that print rebate checks on postcards.

Friends and I have been "doing rebates" for many years.
So far have received them all as requested.

FYI - some stores allow customers to "cash" these rebate checks at register or at the minimum use as payment for new purchases.

Yep. Had a few of these in the past, generally in few dollar range.

I've gotten about 5 rebates in that form. I almost threw it out. Maybe that's what they're hoping.

Rite Aid Single Check Rebates look like post cards and are hard for mobile or scan banking, sometimes, to read. Also easy to throw away, which is, perhaps, their intent.

Checks have been written and cashed in some fairly bizarre media, including one written on an American football. There is no legal requirement in many countries regarding what form a check must take. Post card ones are common in many places. I am searching for my odd-check archive.
