Looking on Yelp for places with lowest cost and highest ratings, here are a few that look interesting to me.

    Num Pang Sandwich Shop
    Epanada Mama
    Go Go Curry
    Patzeria Perfect Pizza
    Garlic New York Pizza Bar
    Lucky’s Famous Burgers

I'm looking for cheap places to eat before and after work next week that I can just walk to.
    Any thoughts on those above?
I'm looking for places one person can eat a good quick meal and get change back from a $20 bill after including everything, soda, tax, tip whatever else fees there could possible be.

I also would like suggestions on quick breakfast places in that same area.
Otherwise, I will plan on eating breakfast mostly at McDonald's and Panera Bread.

If you like Japanese style Curry GoGo is the place to go. It's a real hole-in-yje wall, usually crowded, with very low prices, good quality and exactly the options one gets in Tokyo. I go there at least once each time I'm in New York. It's a great ultra cheap lunch or dinner place.

They have a few locations in NY now, but I wouldn't call them holes-in-the-wall. Cramped, sure, but not unkempt.

There are some really good halal trucks on 6th ave (around 50 street) - just look for the lines and you'll know you have a good one
