  1. Thais love their numbers. Lucky days are often decided on the numbers that make up the date and tomorrow, Tuesday is 11-1-11 (or 1-11-11 for some). The Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel, one of my old favorite hotels from my first business trips to Thailand, has a special offer for tomorrow only at three of their restaurants.

For just 111 baht net per person you can either enjoy the international buffet at Parkview Restaurant (with a 60-minute time limit) OR a dim sum set at Imperial China Restaurant OR the special bento set at Kacho Restaurant.
First come, first served. No reservations. This special offer is good one day only from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. It’s a really nice international buffet, by the way and the dim sum at Imperial China gets good praises.

How do you think Thai cooking evolved? Immigration of Chinese.

  6. I had stayed at Queens Park many times in the late 90s.
There used to be a basketball court nearby.

When I am in Thailand, I eat on the street about 80% of the time.

Though not cheap, I most enjoyed The Sunday Brunch at the Mandarin Oriental :)

And the final product is infinitely better than the starting materials. [IMG]
