*ALERT* Chase Online is working, though some customers may not get in on the first try. We appreciate your patience as we work through this.

    Then two hours ago:

    https://twitter.com/ChaseSupport/status/248590148575563779

Thank you all for your patience today. We will return to the office at 7AM ET. For after hours assistance, please call 1-800-935-9935. ^TC

It's still not working. Glad my main bank (non-CC) is a small credit union.

You would think management would keep the IT personnel till the issue was resolved. I guess their work ethic just isn't up to it tonight.

I worked for CU's for 8 of the 12 years that I've worked in the banking industry. They're great for the most part, but my PFI is still USAA. Absolutely nothing beats their products and services, and you don't have to be military to have their banking products, iirc.

still having issues, i.e. didn't work, Firefox worked through a special verification step then:
    Code:
    JPMorganChase - dbee2arx01a

        SSL Error (ssl_failed)

A secure SSL session could not be established with the Web Site: "".
This is typically caused by a Web Site that is not configured to accept SSL connections, or the Proxy does not trust the Web Site's certificate authority, or else the Proxy does not support client certificate authentication requests from the origin server.

Well, the folks operating the twitter account are most likely not in IT. That said, I am surprised they aren't available 24/7 even under normal circumstances. But i guess I must be confusing them with with Citi (the bank that never sleeps).

USAA is my primary institution for everything except exploiting credit card rewards, with the recent expansion of membership they aren't quite what they used to be but they are still far ahead of other companies in customer service.

My wife's grandfather has been a member since 1938, he has a personal account manager, and receives quarterly phone calls from the CEO. Too the best of my knowledge he doesn't have any especially high deposit amount with them, just a long time member benefit. He also has a special credit card beyond what they publicly offer that he loves but as he is a bit long in the tooth it is hard to get exact details.

That's a pretty impressive benefit, from an institution of their size now. I've been a member for 21 years, and my father for many years more, and he's said similarly - it's not up to the really high standard that it was 30-40 years ago, but hardly anything is these days, and they're still on top in all industries nationwide, when it comes to customer service.

My oldest card (as indicated in the aptly named recent thread) is my Navy Federal Credit Union Platinum Visa card. It has a ridiculously high limit (35% of my total income - in fact with churning now, I am considering asking them to lower it some), a rather low rate - and zero balance xfer fees. If I ever have a purchase (medical bills, other emergency items) that I cannot pay off immediately, I pay on a miles accruing card, and transfer the balance to NFCU every time. I've never had any issues with that CU, and they've approved me for 2-3 auto loans/leases as well, but the customer service quality just isn't as great as USAA. They just have much better rates than USAA, which is why USAA doesn't get all of my non-reward CC business.

Anyhow - back on topic - I cannot access the chase site either, and was going to pay my PC Visa bill this morning. I guess they don't want my money!

I paid my PC Card this morning (hence my 8:10 post) but when I tried to update AwardWallet it failed again.
