Continental and United cardholders now have a VIP lounge at two shopping malls!
Chase has set up a couple of VIP lounges in Short Hill NJ and the Galleria Mall in Houston. They will also have chalk talks featuring some well-known NFLers like Vinny Testaverde, Michael Strahan, Warren Moon and Matt Schaub.

Nice. Too bad I won't be at either. Clearly this is evidence of favoritism toward the CO mega-hubs. (I kid, I kid. ... but still)

Visa Signature in the past has set up lounges and reserved dining areas at Westfield San Francisco Centre, a definite plus since the food court is often packed (and it would be with all those delicious only-in-SF options). I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I don't know if the Sapphire is a Signature card.

Also, VISA Sig cardholders could also get free parking at the 5th and Mission garage behind the SF Centre. I hope this happens again this year.

I do not mean to hijack the thread...but it appears that AMEX cardholders will have some benefits this holiday season at the SF Centre. I have a Business Plat, so am not sure if all AMEXs are eligible. I will definitely use the valet service validation.

"This holiday season, American Express invites Cardmembers to enjoy special benefits while shopping at San Francisco Centre. Take advantage of our Cardmember Escape, where you can rest and enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi along with cell phone charging stations. Additionally, American Express is offering complimentary gift wrapping, postage-paid Priority Mail® boxes for shipping and valet service validation.

To take advantage of these benefits, simply stop by the Cardmember Escape on Level 4 between November 29 and December 23 and present your Card."

I received the email yesterday from CO, not Chase, so it looks like they're targeting their co-branded cardholders.

So, let me see if I understand this correctly:
I could take my wife to a shopping mall for her to shop for x-mas presents while I go to the VIP lounge and talk NFL football with some retired players? This sounds too good to be true :p

Those guest speakers (and along with NFL players also include 'The Cake Boss'), are not free, but cost $50 for each event.

These lounges are back in Houston, SF, and NJ. (http://www.chaseviplounge.com/index.html)

"The VIP Lounge is open to all Chase United Credit Cardmembers and features complimentary gift-wrapping, coat and bag check, and snacks and beverages, including fresh baked goods, packaged snacks, soda, bottled water, and coffee, plus café-style seating and flat screen TVs. Cardmembers will be asked to show a photo id along with their Chase United Credit Card to enter. Each Cardmember may bring up to three guests."

I like the idea of being able to watch football while someone else shops.

However, Chase UA cards are fairly limited, so the lounge itself should be somewhat exclusive and not too crowded.

Visited the one here in Houston twice already and is pretty nice, with an expresso bar, three flat screen tvs, some good snacks both sweet and savory and free gift wrapping service. ;)

Any indication that Amex cardmembers are allowed? I'm not one to turn down free espresso.

You should, is really relaxing if you need to take a break from all the shopping, plus they do a great job wrapping your presents for free.:)

I've seen it twice already how relaxing it is, in which some ladies have come and seat down in the nice sofas and you can tell that they're in a self imposed 'time out'. Then after a couple of minutes, they get up and mosey down to the snack area to get themselves a beverage and sweet. Nice, plus is you visit on Tuesday and take a toy of $15 or more, you get the Club passes. ;)

Not bad at all. But honestly, I am going back for the cookies, those darn white chocolate macadamia nut ones, truly delish! :D
