...like Amex does on occasion, like the current BA transfer bonus? Just wondering.
I have not heard of them doing such a thing. Though it would be awesome if they did.
They haven't yet, but the program is new.
Diners Club offers transfer promotions sometimes, too. I suspect we'll see some eventually.
These bonus promos are generally subsidized by the company receiving the transfer (in exchange for the publicity/ad placement/etc), not the bank.
We haven't seen them.
But of course with Chase UR you're getting bonuses on the earning side, 7% on all points earned... (including signup bonuses)

That's just for Sapphire Preferred, right? Or have they expanded it to all UR cards?
Pretty sure just the Sapphire Preferred gets the 7%
