So weird. Sometimes it says $125 other time it says $95

Didn't they toy with different sign-up bonuses for different annual fees already once? Or was that a different bank?

Also, welcome to the world of A|B testing. If they get takers at $125 then that's good business for them.

    Forget $125... how about $149?

The call-in phone numbers for the two offers are different, but a 1 minute glance over the benefits leads me to believe that they are identical otherwise.

A guy, stopped by a single police officer for DWI, shouts to prove that he is not drunk: "Proof positive that I am not drunk is that I can see both of you clearly!" Chase wants you to see double, be confused and they'll earn money from the confusion...;)

Gee, I told that one badly. Now it is right, I hope...

I got $95 in Chrome and Chrome Incognito mode. IE11 gave me $125.

Reloading in icognito mode got me the $149 offer.

Refreshing the page on the $125 or $149 offers dropped it to $95 every time.

Don't think they differentiate by browser. My screenshot above is showing two Chrome windows, one of them incognito.

All captured within 5 minutes from the same computer. Some in incognito mode, some not. No particular consistency. Refreshing the page often resulted in different numbers.

And doing it badly given that a refresh in the same session changes the numbers.

The latest reminder that weekend nights are not the best time for internet commerce.

You may have put the finger on it! Doesn't Chase do maintenance work on their systems on Sundays?;)

I think most companies may do that, at least overnight on weekends. They're probably figuring that everyone's either asleep or out on the town.

Except that I'm still getting variable pricing today.

This is (a poor implementation of) classic A|B testing.

So, you can spend the $95 you saved on your first 3 months meds for your repetitive motion injuries...?

So I checked again just now. Using Firefox and logged in to my Chase account (which includes a CSP still in its first year), I get the $149 offer even with multiple refreshes. Using Chrome and not logged in, I got $95 a few times. In each case, if you go down into the T's and C's, whatever number you get on the splash offer page is repeated in the details. A/B testing = trolling for chumps.
