Chase Freedom Eliminating 10% Bonus For Checking Customers

    After the closing date on your December 2015 billing statement, you will no longer earn the extra 10% annual bonus that you get on the cash back you’ve already received for new purchases. If you have an open Chase checking account on that date, you will receive your final 10% annual bonus award in early 2016.

    Looks like I'll be using my AMEX Everyday card more and Freedom for just 5 point bonus categories.

    I guess all good things must come to an end... First CSP loses its 7% annual bonus, and now Freedom. I don't have a Chase checking account, but for those who do, this definitely hurts - and as you say, provides a reason to move all non-bonused spend to the new Amex card.
